Elam Ministries
Husker du Ruth og Matt fra TenOase i 2008? Da var du kanskje blant dem som ga 43.000 kroner til prosjektet deres i Iran. Her kan du lese litt om hva de driver med, og være med å be for dem:
Dear Friends, The Word of God cannot be chained Amidst the persecution and unrest in Iran, the New Testament continues to draw Iranians to Jesus Christ. 12-year-old Ali, from Tehran, recently shared his powerful story with Elam: "My father was separated from us, but became a Christian in Europe. He sent me a Persian New Testament. I especially loved the sinner's prayer at the back. I read it every night and memorized it." Ali and his mother both came to Christ. The family was re-united and is now serving the Lord together. Another young lady, who received a copy of the New Testament just a few months ago, told Elam how pleased she was to receive the Scriptures: "When I saw that the New Testament was in Persian I was really happy because it was in the language that I know, and I could easily build a relationship with God. That was very sweet for me." One new believer's eyes welled up with tears as she shared at a recent meeting: "The New Testament impacted my life. But my father never received a copy, so he never had the opportunity to read the Gospel before he died. He never had the chance to accept it." A young man was so grateful that people loved him enough to send him a New Testament. He shared with a church worker last week: "When I saw the New Testament in Persian, I couldn't believe that there were people who had thought about me and had prepared this for me in Persian. I prayed that God would bless those who prepared it." Finally, a young Christian woman serving in the Iranian church sent us this message: "I love the New Testament-it has helped me a lot. It has changed the lives of many Iranians, and I believe it will impact the nation of Iran."
